Champagne Edouard Duval begins distribution in Greater China

Champagne Edouard Duval and EMW Fine Wines have announced a new distribution partnership for Greater China, which includes Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau, starting from this December.

Based in the Côte des Bar region, the eponymous Champagne winery is owned by Edouard Duval, who is also the CEO of fine wine importer and distributor EMW Fine Wines.

Champagne Edouard Duval is hailed as “using the best-selected grapes solely coming from its own estate – the Domaine Sainte Eulalie”. The ancient Priory was founded almost 1,000 years ago, in 1095, by the monks of Cluny Abbey, and it is one of the oldest historical estates still in existence, with 28 hectares of contiguous vineyards producing Champagne.

All the grapes are estate grown using sustainable farming methods and certified “Viticulture durable en Champagne” (VDC).

Produced with very little intervention, long cellar ageing, and low dosage, Champagne Edouard Duval strives to, “perpetuate a wine cultivation respectful of Cluny Abbey’s heritage in each of our Champagnes”.

The Champagne portfolio consists of three expressions: Champagne Edouard Duval Brut d’Eulalie, Champagne Edouard Duval Extra Brut and Champagne Edouard Duval Saignee d’Eulalie Extra Brut.

“It is with great pleasure to announce that a small allocation of my newly crafted Champagne will be available to our network of Champagne lovers. The Domaine Sainte Eulalie was acquired by my family in the 1950s and since I took over the estate in 2000, I put all my passion to craft exceptional Champagne that I’m happy to share with our clientele in Greater China,” said Edouard Duval.
